Developing the capacity of Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions to strengthen cooperation between private and public stakeholders in the field of Vocational Education and Training. Project Goal and Objectives:

  • Organizational Development: Implementation of an organizational structure to ensure close cooperation and sustainable innovation in VET institutions with the involvement of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and employers from the construction sector.

  • Competence Structuring and Assessment: Development and implementation of a model for identifying, structuring, and documenting relevant skills and competencies in corresponding technology areas, as well as a systematic approach to assessment and certification.

  • Competence Development: Transfer of know-how to VET institutions by experts from the field of higher education, teachers, or vocational training masters, according to the needs of the Ukrainian construction sector / development, testing, and refinement of modern curricula for construction sector educational institutions based on EU standards in the format of (Massive) Open Online Courses (M)OOCs or Open Educational Resources (OER).

  • Competence Dissemination: Nationwide implementation of the (M)OOCs advanced training program and support program for teachers and vocational training masters.

Project Activities:

  • Kick-off conference

  • Establishment of the VETpartEx organization (UA Centre for VET and Innovation in Civil Engineering)

  • Organization of teacher training

  • Development of curricula, (M)OOCs, OER, and setup of a platform with repositories for existing and developed (M)OOCs, OERs, and micro-qualifications

  • Dissemination of curricula and micro-qualifications

  • Final conference

Expected Results:

  • The project will contribute to the development of curricula adapted to labour market demands, allowing VET graduates and adults (with special attention to representatives of vulnerable groups such as veterans, people with disabilities (PWD), and internally displaced persons (IDP)) to be more attentive to labour market requirements.

  • New curricula will be implemented in 5 VET institutions.

  • The development process will be completed with new training materials, as well as (massive) Open Online Courses (M)OOCs and Open Educational Resources (OER).

  • A Centre for Vocational Education and Training and Innovation in Civil Engineering will be established with the participation of Ukrainian VET institutions and HEIs.
